Max: Chloe. You really got to ditch the cigarette."

Chloe: Ugh...Come on Max! Just let me unwind the way I want to!"

Max: No Chloe. Do you really think I would lose you to lung cancer after literally breaking time and space to save you?"

Chloe: Ugh...You sound like my stepdad. You want me to lose my hair too?!"

Max: No! I don't! Your hair is beautiful! And I'm nothing like your stepdad!

Chloe: Oh sure. So once you became master of the universe, you suddenly feel like that you can boss me around and-

Max: You think that I would have let an entire town DIE just to lose my wife to lung cancer?!

Chloe: ...Oh...Max.

Max: I'm concerned about your safety because I care about you. Not because I'm some...stuck up right winger who has came from a war that was...started because oil companies wanted profit that badly! And I don't want to be like your real dad who's so carefree that he let's you become paralyzed in an alternate reality!

Chloe: (Becomes teary eyed)...Max...

Max: (Sobbing) I don't want to be any of your dads! I just want to be your wife!

Chloe: ...Max, Max. It's alright. (Max collapses in Chloe's arms.) Really. I would even ditch this stupid punk aesthetic if it means making you feel happy.

Chloe: Aw...thanks Max. ...I'll try to break the smoking habit...somehow.

Max: Maybe we can order a pretzel jar, or sunflower seeds, or something.

Max: (Softly slaps Chloe on the back.)

Chloe: HEY! I didn't say that I wanted to substitute it for drugs! I'm just saying that there's a medication out there that can help ward off nicotine addiction and...

Max: (Looks at Chloe with a brow.)

Chloe: ...I'll just quit, okay. I'll just quit. (Throws cigarette in the trash.) ...I love you Max. (Kisses Max on the lips.)

Max: (Pulls away from Chloe. Coughs and weezes from the fresh cigarette breath.)

Chloe: Oh man...(Turns around and sees that the trash can is now catching fire.)...Oh god! (Runs to the sink to collect a dish so that she can pour water onto said fire.)
